La Pregunta de Elblogeo.com: I was looking into your page, do you guys have an “About Us” page? I want to write an article about you guys in my blog and would like to put some information that I do not know. Like how many team members do you have, who, when and where did the idea of having a blog directory came from.. Things like that… If you don’t have an About Us page then it would be cool if you could give me some info about your team so I can better inform my readers..

Thanks for the interest in writing about us. There is an about us page
on the site [http://blogsdominicanos.com/acerca de/#about ] but I will be more then happy to give you a basic summary on everyone that helps out on the site…

We started out with a humble blog ring on alt-webring.com [http://alt-webring.com/cgi-bin/lis t.pl?ringid=DominicanBlog] in January of 05. The ring was started by Enedina A. Pereyra Córdova, a.k.a. Bracuta [http://bracuta.blogspot.com/]. We grew to about 80 bloggers in 4 months. Bracuta must be one of the very first Dominican Bloggers I
know… She has been blogging since May of 2004 and resides in St. Domingo…

Remo, from [Remolacha.net] has been a huge
supporter of the project and has helped promote the site/project to a large audience of readers and being part of the project was definitely a big help. Remo has had several sites [DominicanVirus.com, Poliguachi.com…] but found a nitch with Remolacha.net and blogging/publishing news and gossip with the CMS Type Pad. Remo lives in NY.

Jose Rodriguez is one of our first collaborators and he also maintains his own tech blog… [http://nuevayol.blogspot.com/] On Blogs Dominicanos, Jose posts news/info about the blogging community at large as well as new technology that improves the way we blog… Jose is a college student and resides in NY.

Arturo Paniagua (AJ) is a Dominican that lives in Spain. Another Dominican that has been blogging since I can remember. He has been a huge help just by supporting and being part of the team and offering to help when he can. He is a DJ in Spain and is the author of El Blogazo [http://www.elblogazo.com/]

Enrique Alberti is the author of PlanetaBlog [http://elplanetablogd.blogspot.com  /]. He has also been another upporter of the project and with his vivid imagination we are very happy to have him as a team member. He also lives in NY.

Jorge A Ruiz is the author of ElGeorge [http://elgeorge.blogspot.com/]. He has helped with an interview and I believe he will continue to interview registered users on Blogs Dominicanos as we all get to know who we all share common interests with. It has certainly been a huge relief knowing that people want to chip in and help where they can…After all, we all share one thing in common… We all blog… Jorge lives in St. Domingo

Eileen Glass [http://iwasnakedwheniwrotethis.blo gspot.com/] and Flor A.P. [http://freakandnaughty.blogspot.co m/] are bound to publish SOMETHING on Blogs Dominicanos! I say that in a sarcastic manner. =) They will be creating their own blog on Blogs Dominicanos and will create stories with their vivid imagination for our readers… The girls are both college students majoring in Business Management and Architecture respectively… They live in St. Domingo.

And finally, there’s me… Edwin Reyes… I’ve been blogging since August 2004 and after one year of blogging I’ve decided to take a small break… I’m sure BlogsDominicanos.com would exist in one form or another even if I never started the project. With the help of Jose Antunez and the creators of VeneBlogs.com and BlogsMexico.com we paved the path for Blogs Dominicanos. It was definitely a pleasure working with Jose and everyone else but an even better feeling when the project was complete. It was finally launched 4 months later on May 21st 2005. We currently have 200+ Dominican bloggers in the directory and I’m sure that with time the number with multiply by more… For the time being, I try to update our blogs at least once a week with an interview, a new blog of the week, and general information about blogs… Everyone else updates and helps out on the site when they can with no obligation of having to do so… They are all great and I am thankful for everyone’s willingness to devote their time to it. I am also a contributing editor on Remolacha.net… I live in NJ.
